MSJHS Yule Ball

“The walls of the Hall had all been covered in sparkling silver frost, with hundreds of garlands of mistletoe and ivy crossing the starry black ceiling. The House tables had vanished; instead, there were about a hundred smaller, lantern-lit ones, each seating about a dozen people.”

Looking for a magical time? Make sure to come to MSJ’s very own Yule Ball from 7-10pm on Friday, December 16th, inspired by the Yule Ball in Harry Potter. Enjoy karaoke, photobooths, professional photos, Wii games, and much more! Whether you come with friends or a date, it’s sure to be a blast. Buy tickets at the student store for $15 with ASB and $18 without or for $20 at the door.

Get ready for Mike Posner!

Get ready to experience MIKE POSNER with an exclusive concert at MSJHS’s Amphitheater, just for MISSION STUDENTS! The #WiLD949HSTakeover with Mike Posner is Mission San Jose High School!

This concert is open to ONLY current MSJHS students as well as MSJHS alumni. The concert begins at 4 pm at the amphitheater.

Charity Fashion Show 2016

Come out the MSJ’s annual Charity Fashion Show! Featuring special guest performers by students and your classmates strutting down the runway, kick off your spring break with a fun and entertaining night with your friends.

Save the date! The Charity Fashion Show will be hosted on March 24 from 7 to 10 pm at the C120 auditorium on campus.

This year, all proceeds will be donated to MSJ’s very own Special Education Department. Unlike most classes in your schedule that each get donations, the Special Ed Department receives only one donation to fund all their individual programs within the department. This means that they don’t have enough funds for a lot of things such as science equipment, technology (laptops), etc.

Make an impact on our campus and help our Special Education Department provide quality education to its students. You’re supporting a great cause by watching a great show!

Order tickets online or purchase them from any L2 student at school!

New Service Learning Regulations

Hello Mission San Jose High students,

Recently our school board passed some new rules/regulations for service learning. I have attached all of the rules and regulations below, old and new. Please note that one of the new regulations caps the number of hours that you can submit to forty (quality over quantity). What this means is that once I have you confirmed for forty hours, I will not add any additional hours to your transcript. You will need to track your hours and make sure you do not submit more than forty hours as any hours submitted that is above forty will not be logged in. This is not to say that you cannot perform more than forty hours, no can, but you will need to document and confirm those hours yourself. I will take ALL hours until the end of the third quarter, 2016. After March 24, 2016 I will only record a max of forty hours on your transcripts. Please do not submit more than forty hours after this date as they will not be recorded. Thank you for your attention to these new changes.

Ben Breazeale
Service Learning Coordinator.
